Manufactured from synthetic polyglycolic acid (PGA), these sutures provide dependable tensile strength during the critical wound-healing phase, followed by predictable absorption through hydrolysis.

The braided multifilament construction offers excellent handling characteristics, flexibility, and reliable knot security, supporting precise placement and consistent results in professional clinical environments. The violet colouring improves visibility against tissue, aiding accurate suture placement and efficient intraoperative handling.

This variant is supplied in USP 2/0 (EP 3), 75 cm length, and fitted with a DS 24 (24 mm) reverse cutting needle, making it suitable for soft tissue closure where controlled penetration and precise cutting action are required. The reverse cutting needle design places the cutting edge on the outer curvature, helping to reduce the risk of tissue cut-through while maintaining strength in delicate to moderately dense tissue.
