Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910 and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 2 violet suture is supplied in a 90 cm (36 inch) length and is armed with a single-armed MO-6 taper point needle measuring 48 mm with a 1/2 circle curvature, designed to provide smooth, atraumatic penetration for deep soft tissue approximation and general surgical closure.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
