Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 2 undyed suture is supplied in a 36 inch (90 cm) length and is armed with a single-armed CT needle. The CT taper point needle is designed for smooth passage through soft tissues, supporting controlled penetration, reduced tissue trauma and reliable placement during general and abdominal surgical closure.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and surgical environments.
