Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910 and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 1 violet suture is supplied in a 150 cm (60 inch) length and is armed with a single-armed CCS conventional cutting needle, designed to deliver sharp, controlled penetration for secure soft tissue approximation and ligation procedures.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 24 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
