The Ethicon MONOCRYL™ Absorbable Suture W3432 is a sterile synthetic absorbable monofilament suture manufactured from poliglecaprone 25, designed for soft tissue approximation and ligation.

MONOCRYL™ sutures are produced from a copolymer of glycolide and ε-caprolactone, providing excellent handling characteristics, smooth tissue passage and dependable knot security.

The monofilament construction reduces tissue drag and helps minimise bacterial adherence compared with braided sutures, making MONOCRYL™ suitable for delicate tissue approximation.

This version of MONOCRYL™ is supplied undyed, providing a clear monofilament option where minimal visual contrast is preferred during surgical procedures.

Poliglecaprone 25 has been demonstrated to be non-antigenic, non-pyrogenic and associated with minimal tissue reaction during absorption, allowing reliable wound support during the early healing period.

MONOCRYL™ sutures are commonly used in general surgery, plastic surgery, dermatologic procedures and subcuticular skin closure, where smooth tissue passage and predictable absorption are important.
