LUXCRYL PGA Rapid Absorbable Braided Surgical Sutures are intended for superficial soft tissue and mucosal closure where rapid absorption and short-term wound support are required. Manufactured from polyglycolic acid (PGA), these sutures provide dependable early tensile strength followed by fast, predictable absorption.

The braided construction is coated to reduce tissue drag and enhance handling, allowing smooth passage through tissue and secure knot performance. The undyed formulation is particularly suitable for cosmetic and mucosal applications where colourless sutures are preferred.

This variant is supplied in USP 4/0, 75 cm length, and fitted with a DS 19 (19 mm) cutting needle. Cutting needles are designed to cut cleanly through superficial skin and tougher tissue, providing controlled penetration and precise incision where required.

LUXCRYL PGA Rapid sutures are commonly used in plastic surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology (including episiotomy repair), urology, ophthalmic procedures, and paediatric surgery where fast absorption with minimal tissue reaction is required.
