Ethicon VICRYL RAPIDE is a sterile, synthetic, rapidly absorbable surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910 and specially processed to accelerate absorption, providing short-term wound support during the early stages of healing.

This USP 2-0 undyed suture is supplied in a 45 cm (18 inch) length and is armed with a single-armed X-1 conventional cutting needle measuring 24 mm with a 3/8 circle curvature, designed to deliver sharp, controlled penetration for precise skin and superficial tissue closure.

VICRYL RAPIDE sutures are absorbed more rapidly than standard VICRYL by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and reducing the need for suture removal in appropriate cases. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
